Jelena Woehr - LakewoodI first met Ed Perlmutter when he was a State Senate candidate and I was a bored six-year-old lugging my coloring books to Democratic campaign events. Now that he's a Congressman and I'm a young adult, I take every opportunity that I can to see Congressman Perlmutter speak or to volunteer with his campaign. Hearing his take on current events always makes me feel more hopeful about the direction of our country. It's great to know that Colorado has a representative in Washington who takes time to talk with ordinary people and then carries their concerns with him to Congress. The best part is, when I tell friends from other states that I have a Congressman who will talk to regular citizens and have a genuine conversation, they don't believe me!

Robert Sampron- LittletonRep. Perlmutter is a good man, a good acquaintance, and has a great family. During committee meetings last year on the health care bill, I watched Rep. Perlmutter on C-SPAN. During that five-plus hour marathon, he got to the bottom of each objection to the bill with respect and precision. Though I've known him for years, that night I came to appreciate him all the more, seeing him fight for the truth on behalf of his district. The 7th Congressional District is well served by Congressman Ed Perlmutter.

Debbie Fischer - AuroraI believe Ed works very hard for CD7, truly listens to his constituents, and to issues that effect them. Congressman Perlmutter and his staff addressed an issue of PTSD that a neighbor of mine was facing. He had been called back for another tour of duty in Iraq. This young man had seen buddies blown up and had been personally shot, as they discovered a bullet hole in his bullet proof vest. His mother was in Australia, and panicked as he was supposed to report for duty Monday. I believe it was a Saturday that I heard the news. I contacted a staff member by phone, and Congressman Perlmutter's office began immediate work to get him discharged and the help he needed. This young man was discharged as a result of Congressman Perlmutter's office and staff's immediate response. He had been suicidal, and his mother could not get back in time to help. This is just one story, as I know Congressman Perlmutter has worked hard on many, many issues, not only with the military, healthcare, education and development. Thank you for the opportunity to endorse Congressman Perlmutter.
