PERLMUTTER CALLS ON RYAN FRAZIER, BUCK BAILEY TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS BILL
Golden, CO – Today, Ed Perlmutter called on Ryan Frazier and Buck Bailey to express their support for a package of bills providing small business tax cuts and credit that would help spur job creation and put people back to work.
Perlmutter included a plan to help small community banks provide loans to small businesses by allowing them to spread out the loss in value of some of their commercial real estate loans. This plan, originally introduced by Perlmutter and Rep. Mike Coffman, passed in the House version of the small business lending bill the Senate will soon consider.
Ryan Frazier, the Republican candidate for Congress, recently expressed his support for small business during a recent radio interview on Backbone radio stating, “the second package I would like to put forth is a package to help small business people, women and men, get access to the credit they need and increase the demand that is out there.”
He also stated in a recent debate in Arvada with Perlmutter and Libertarian candidate Buck Bailey, “we know how to make that happen, to incentivize small businesses, to release them of the taxes, to relieve them of the regulations, so they have more resources…to put Americans back to work.”
Based on these statements, Frazier should tell the small businesses in the 7th Congressional District whether he would stand with his national Republican party leaders in opposing this plan and the package of legislation that would provide regulatory and tax relief that will enable small businesses to get the loans they need to put the hardworking people of this district back to work.
Buck Bailey has not expressed his opinion on this legislation and it’s important for voters in this district to know his position on how our country can set a strong foundation for small businesses to grow and prosper.
Perlmutter stated, “Small businesses are the engines of our economy. I will continue to work to help small businesses hire new workers and get the loans they need to expand their businesses – like I did for Big Papa’s BBQ. Through tax cuts and credits and small business loans, we have to make sure to bolster the entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity that makes this district the best place in America to live, work and raise a family.”
